The choir, numbering about 40, from the state grammar school in Kingston Upon Thames, is touring New Zealand.
The choir, established in 1957, is one of the few state school choirs to be continually at the forefront of the choral music scene in Britain and it performs at places such as the Royal Opera House in London, as well as going on frequent overseas tours.
Director Simon Toyne said music was an integral part of the school and boys aspired to be in the top choir.
Members were not "sissys", and many also played in the school top rugby and cricket teams, he said.
They will return to London on March 3.
