The Oamaru company received an email from the show's production co-ordinator, Hillary Hirsch, to say she bought the cheese for the show's wine and cheese party every Friday night and it had been a "huge hit".
Unfortunately, due to some distribution changes, she had been unable to get her favourite cheese and she hoped it would soon be back in stock.
Whitestone Cheese founder Bob Berry was heading to the United States and had an eight-hour stop in Los Angeles on August 23.
He took a 4kg wheel of Windsor Blue, packed in ice in his carry-on luggage, and told her they could meet at the airport.
She not only met him but took Mr Berry to her brother's home, where there was a family birthday party, and he joined the celebrations.
Now back in Oamaru, Mr Berry said the cheese did not last until the Friday party - the crew "cleaned it up" on the Monday night.
The company was sent signed photographs of the cast which now hang on the walls of its Torridge St cafe.
It was possible another delivery could be made when Mr Berry returned to the United States later this month.
His son Simon, who is the company's general manager, was a fan of the show, as were some of the staff.
It had been "tremendous" publicity for the company, with the subsequent media exposure, Mr Berry said.
"I do know Hugh Hefner and his bunnies were enjoying Whitestone Cheese for a while. Now we can add Scrubs. It's amazing where your cheeses finish up," he said.
