Five other applications were accepted by the Central Otago District Council's hearings panel.
In separate reports, CODC planning consultant David Whitney had recommended each application be granted consent or requirements, some subject to conditions.
•Conditions of a subdivision on Swann Rd near Lowburn were deleted by the council as requested in an application by R.H.O. and E.A.Williams and T.J.Dunn.
The two conditions, imposed when the subdivision was approved in 2004, related to the construction of an esplanade strip along the Low Burn.
The council stated it would not be appropriate to require the creation of an esplanade strip, rendering the conditions invalid.
•An alteration to the designation of State Highway 8 at Maori Point Rd was agreed to by the council, as requested by Transit New Zealand.
The alteration will involve the development of a T-intersection with a right turn bay, and improved sight distances for vehicles entering and exiting Maori Point Rd from the highway.
It is expected the work could be completed by the end of March.
•Graeme and Janice Smith were granted consent to create four rural allotments at Northburn between Cromwell and Tarras, as well as land use consent to construct three dwellings on the site in the future.
Consent to develop was granted subject to 39 conditions, while land use consent was granted subject to a further 27 conditions.
•The Little Orchard Trust was granted consent to create two allotments on Felton Rd at Bannockburn, subject to 10 conditions.
The trust's application was opposed by sole submitter Bell Investments Ltd, saying rural land should not be divided into small parcels.
•K.C. and J.C.Dickie were granted subdivision consent to create two allotments on a Short St property in Bannockburn, subject to 17 conditions.
Three opposing submissions were received.
