Fullback Liam Edwards was the hero for Dunedin when he kicked a late penalty goal to give his team a narrow 36-33 win over University A in Dunedin premier club rugby today.

The scores were locked at 33-all when Edwards stepped up and kicked the ball between the posts.

He also showed his speed in scoring two tries and scored 21 of Dunedin's points in a dramatic semi-final at the Forsyth Barr Stadium.

Dunedin will play Taieri in the final the stadium.

Taieri also had a few jitters before beating Southern 38-28.

Taieri led 25-10 at the break but Southern came back in the second spell to close the gap to two points, 25-23.
