Storm Uru and Peter Taylor came of age with a great row in the lightweight double sculls to seal a place in the A final and put their bid to qualify for the Olympic Games firmly on track.
Mahe Drysdale, Emma Twigg, Rob Waddell and Nathan Cohen, Nicky Coles and Juliette Haigh, Nathan Twaddle and George Bridgewater and the coxless four of Hamish Bond, Eric Murray, James Dallinger and Carl Meyer will join Uru and Taylor in A finals tonight while the women's eight and the women's lightweight double line up in B finals.
There was one A final overnight-- in the non Olympic class lightweight single scull.
New Zealand's world champion in the event, Duncan Grant, finished a strong second to Jaap Schouten of the Netherlands proving he is on the way back after injury and illness.
