The Canterbury Tactix have pulled out of the Southern Steel-hosted pre-season netball tournament in Queenstown later this month, citing a lack of first-choice players.
The Tactix had committed to the tournament but have been struck by injuries.
Silver Ferns captain Julie Seymour is struggling with an Achilles injury, and midcourter and fill-in shooter Anna Thompson has also been laid low.
Former Silver Ferns shooter and recent mother Jodi Brown is unavailable, as is English international Sonia Mkoloma, who is playing netball in England.
The tournament will go ahead as planned, with the Central Pulse replacing the Tactix.
The event will still be of high quality with two teams from Australia attending, including last year's ANZ Championship winners, the New South Wales Swifts.
