The University of Otago is declining to comment on the qualifications and sudden departure of senior research fellow Karen Hartshorn.
Human resources director Kevin Seales confirmed on Monday Ms Hartshorn was no longer a university employee and said all matters relating to her employment had been resolved.
But he would not respond to any of the 18 specific questions put by the Otago Daily Times about Ms Hartshorn, saying they could not be answered "as they are a matter of privacy".
The ODT put two lists of questions to the university, the first on August 20 and the second on Monday. They covered issues including how and when the university discovered Ms Hartshorn's qualifications had been inflated, whether there was an investigation, what the result of any investigation was, and whether Ms Hartshorn resigned or was dismissed.
The ODT also asked who changed Ms Hartshorn's title from Dr to Ms on university websites, whether the university would be pursuing any action against Ms Hartshorn, and whether her case would be referred to the police for investigation.
A request for an interview with a senior staff member to discuss whether Ms Hartshorn's case put the university's academic reputation at risk was declined.
