Baby left on Sydney street treated for exposure

A six-week-old baby is being treated for exposure after being found on a western Sydney street.

Police found the baby boy in a capsule on Joseph Street, Lidcombe, about 3.15am (AEST) on Tuesday.

Police are now questioning the baby's parents, who were picked up several blocks away at Lidcombe railway station after reports of an argument between a man and a woman.

The baby is in hospital where he is being treated for exposure.
