German police say a small plane has crashed near Frankfurt, killing at least three of the five people on board.
Offenbach police spokeswoman Kirsten Krueger says the Cessna plane crashed and burst into flames late on Thursday (local time) as it tried to land at Egelsbach airstrip south of Frankfurt.
She says rescue workers have recovered three bodies amid the debris, which is scattered over hundreds of metres. The plane left the Austrian city of Linz with the pilot, a co-pilot and three passengers.
Police had no immediate information on the cause of the accident.
