The market on the Arrowtown Library reserve opposite the historic miners' cottages will boast handmade clothes from Auckland, salmon from Stewart Island and just about everything in between.
Market co-ordinator Ann Bain this week said at least another four vendors were expected to come on board for what was traditionally a major attraction for residents, visitors and an influx of Wakatipu holidaymakers.
"It's a lovely area and there'll be lots of goodies to buy, and it's all homegrown produce," Mrs Bain said.
"I won't allow anyone with imported goods for resale. It's really like a fun fair day and the children are well catered for. It's a good, affordable and fun day out."
The market was founded with about 50 stalls 15 years ago as a fundraiser for the historic post office, which is almost unchanged since it was built in 1915 to replace the original post office.
Organisers hoped to raise more than $3000 for its maintenance, which would beat the $2300 raised last year, Mrs Bain said.
The market will run from 10am to about 4pm. The Arrow Miners Band will play from noon to about 1.30pm.
