Questions asked over how teacher was run over

Questions are being raised about whether a Christchurch high school teacher tripped and fell before she was run over by her husband.

Evidence is being given today in Christchurch at the coroner's hearing into the death of Denise Robinson Winskill, who died after her husband accidentally ran her over with a ute in 2013.

Senior constable Steven Spencer investigated the scene following the incident.

He says there are a variety of scenarios that could have happened, including the popular teacher tripping over.

Earlier, the inquest heard from a vehicle expert who couldn't explain how Mr Winskill didn't feel any resistance when the ute struck his wife's body.
