Police are investigating a death in Christchurch after a body was found in a bath.
An ambulance was called to a house on Gleig Pl in Spreydon just before 9am today, but they soon requested police assistance.
Two occupants of the house were spoken to by police.
In a statement this afternoon, police said the cause of death was unknown.
A post-mortem examination will be carried out tomorrow.
Police said next of kin were being contacted and no details of the deceased would be released until then.
The scene was being examined.
