Police want to find a "creepy" man who has allegedly been approaching young woman on the North Shore and trying to kiss them.

The most recent incident took place last Saturday afternoon as a 15 year-old girl and her older sister waited at the bus stop on Lake Rd in Takapuna.

Constable Erik Bakker said the man started talking to the pair, before attempting several times to kiss the 15-year-old girl.

"Her older sister had taken a photo of him before he did this as she found his behaviour creepy," Mr Bakker said.

"We're also aware of a man of this description who allegedly attempted to do the same thing to another young woman on Wednesday 10 December at Starbucks in Westgate. The young lady also managed to take a photo of the man."

In August last year, police posted photographs of a man they wanted to identify in relation to a similar incident which happened in Burger King Takapuna.

"We believe this may also be related (to the other incidents)," Mr Bakker said.

The man is described as having a foreign accent that is quite difficult to understand.

Anyone with information should contact Mr Bakker at the Takapuna police station on 09 213 7863.

Information can also be given anonymously to the organisation Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
