Arrests after peninsula domestic incident

Police called to a domestic incident on the Otago Peninsula yesterday arrested the alleged offender and later, the victim.

Senior Sergeant Kelvin Lloyd said police were called to Harwood just after 9am, and arrested a 39-year-old man at the property.

He was charged with breaching a protection order, assault with intent to injure, and cultivating cannabis, after plants were found at his home.

While the man was being transferred to the police station, the victim decided ‘‘to deal to some of the offender's property at the address'', Snr Sgt Lloyd said.

Police then arrested the teenager, who is expected to appear in the Dunedin Youth Court.
