A cruise ship passenger was reunited with his vessel, and his gear, yesterday after it sailed from Port Chalmers without him.
When Celebrity Solstice left Dunedin about 7pm on Monday, it did so without a male American tourist who failed to return in time.
Acting Senior Sergeant Ed Baker said the man rejoined the vessel before it departed Akaroa yesterday.
