Police are investigation two suspected arsons in Dunedin overnight.
Emergency services were called to Malvern St in Leith Valley about 11.45pm where a large cabbage tree was on fire outside a residential address.
About 15 minutes later they were alerted to a fire on nearby Woodhaugh St where a container full of household rubbish was burning.
Firefighters extinguished both fires.
