Man seriously hurt in Dunedin crash

A 45-year-old Dunedin man is in a life-threatening condition after crashing his car in Corstorphine, Dunedin, last night.

The man, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was driving on Emerson St when he failed to take the corner with Blackhead Rd and crashed into a bank about 10pm, police said.

He was taken to Dunedin Hospital with head and chest injuries after being cut free by fire officers, Snr Sgt Mel Aitken said.
