Thousands of people gathered in Dunedin's Baldwin St this afternoon for the annual Cadbury Jaffa race.

25,000 giant orange Jaffas rumbled down the world's steepest street, followed minutes later by 25,000 giant purple Jaffas.

Cadbury Dunedin factory staff worked for weeks to make and individually hand-number the 50,000 Jaffas.
