North American television viewers have not only been given a further look at New Zealand's attractions in the latest The Amazing Race TV series, but host Phil Keoghan uses his father to greet contestants reaching the end of the NZ leg.
The Emmy award-winning presenter, formerly from Lincoln, called on his father, John Keoghan, from Rolleston, south of Christchurch, to welcome the contestants on the Papamoa Hills, Canadian Television (CTV) reported.
The show - broadcast in North America yesterday - was mainly set around Auckland and the Bay of Plenty, and features attractions such as the Sky Tower.
The series features teams of two people racing around the world while completing unusual tasks.
