DJ Ronson is reported to have let slip the marriage plans to the audience at a top Los Angeles hotel and night club, Chateau Marmont.
She said: "By the end of this year, my love will be Mrs Ronson. Tonight shows the power of a woman - to underestimate that is to underestimate the world."
The duo were this week photographed in the front row for the presentation of Ronson's sister Charlotte's spring collection at New York Fashion Week, where they were immediately swarmed by photographers who brushed past other famous people like Sean Lennon to get shots of the actress and DJ.
