Australian fans had to wait more than 10 years and fork out hundreds of dollars to see hip-hop artist Eminem rap live but some ticket holders are fuming claiming they couldn't even hear him.

Hundreds of Sydney concert goers have attacked Eminem's Australian tour promoter, Dainty Group, on its official Facebook page, labelling the sound quality at the Sydney shows 'disgraceful,' 'unacceptable' and 'appalling'.

"Audio absolutely terrible on friday at sfs (Sydney Football Stadium). unacceptable," one fan wrote on the Facebook page.

Some fans are calling for refunds for the Sydney shows, which were held at the Sydney Football Stadium on December 2 and 4, while others are just asking for an apology.

"Give us our money back. You stuffed up the biggest rapper in the worlds concert how do you feel. Give us out money back (sic)," wrote Matt Noris who has commented on the site several times.

Dainty Group, headed by promoter Paul Dainty, has recently been responsible for the Australian tours of big-name acts like Neil Diamond and Bon Jovi.

Many fans who have made complaints to Dainty Group by email or on its Facebook site have received a standard response.

"We're sorry you had a negative experience at the event - if you look at the tour page you'll see that overwhelmingly there was some incredibly positive feedback!" one response from Dainty Group read on the Facebook site.

Some fans have threatened to take the response to the Department of Fair Trading.

But not all concert goers were disappointed with the sound at the Sydney shows.

Those in the most expensive sections of the stadium say they were happy with the sound quality of the Eminem show.

"Most epic night ever, great seats, perfect sound. But thats why I paid $350 ... (sic)" said one Sydney fan.

Fans who attended the Melbourne show at Ettihad Stadium on December 1 have also praised the sound quality on Dainty Group's Facebook site.
