Taranaki lost 32-43 to Auckland at Eden Park this evening.
Rebounding from an embarrassing loss to Bay of Plenty last week, Auckland took the win courtesy of an improved backline guided by Gareth Anscombe, who nailed all eight of his kicks at goal.
Taranaki was previously undefeated.
