Cricket: England bat first in tour match

The New Zealand XI won the toss and will bowl in the replayed T20 match against England at Cobham Oval, Whangarei today.

The first game of the tour was washed out after 9.1 overs yesterday but the weather is much improved today.

England have made one change from yesterday, allrounder Samit Patel replacing fast bowler Steven Finn.

The New Zealand XI have brought in batsman Neil Broom and left arm spinner Nick Beard for Ross Taylor - who has left Whangarei to prepare for the ANZ international series T20s, starting in Auckland on Saturday - and Jimmy Neesham.
