A young man stabbed up to eight times in south Sydney may have argued with his attackers at a karaoke bar the night before.
Police say the wounded 21-year-old was found in a licensed premises on Forest Road, Hurstville, about 8.30pm (AEST) on Tuesday.
He was treated at the scene for multiple stab wounds before being taken to St George Hospital, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
It's been reported the man was stabbed up to eight times to his legs, buttocks, hand and torso and the attack may have been retaliation for an incident at a karaoke bar on Monday.
"Police are following some leads that may indicate that it may be related to an incident that occurred the previous night," Inspector Rob Stark from Hurstville Police told the ABC.
