Police are investigating an attack by a man on a 34-year-old woman in MacLaggan St, Dunedin last night.
The attack occurred between 10.30-11pm while the woman was getting an item from her car.
She described the man as a well-dressed stocky European male in his late 30s or early 40s and smelling of alcohol.
She managed to fight him off and raise the alarm.
The woman suffered minor injuries but was extremely traumatised by the incident.
Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at that time or who recognises the description of the attacker.
