This weekend sees some interesting match-ups.
The most exciting match looks to be Toko hosting Clutha in Milton.
Both teams had wins last week.
Clutha dominated Clinton, whereas Toko was made to work a little more for its win over Crescent.
Both teams will want to dominate up front, to allow their exciting backlines to create chances.
Toko has boasted one of the best scrums in the competition for years now and will not take a backward step when the pressure comes on.
The loose forward battle looks to be a good one and the battle of the opensides, Dylan Greer up against Kurt Turnbull, will be good to watch.
Toko has some players under injury clouds but that won't stop it turning in a full 80-minute performance.
Clutha Valley is hosting Lawrence and both teams also won last week.
Valley smashed Owaka and Lawrence dispatched Heriot.
Lawrence will go in the favourite but Valley will definitely make it difficult for the 2014 champion.
If fit, Lawrence import Dan Malem adds to the exciting backline.
Valley skipper Josh Botting will be looking to add to his hat-trick of tries scored last week.
Clinton travels to Heriot to build on its performance from last week.
The side has had arguably the hardest start to the season but will still give a decent account of itself.
Expect the breakdown to be fiercely contested and the ball to get plenty of air.
Heriot should pick up its first win, but Clinton will be better than last week.
The Greg Smith Memorial Trophy is at stake, as Crescent hosts Owaka.
Crescent played well in its loss to Toko last week, while Owaka needs to improve drastically if it wants a chance in this game.
Both teams will want to unleash their exciting backlines and Crescent will want the ball in the hands of centre Jamie Dick as much as possible.
Owaka has two exciting wingers making their debuts, and will want to give them as much ball as possible.
Expect Crescent to be too strong in this one.
