Dixon to co-captain Highlanders

The Highlanders have named hooker Ash Dixon as co-captain of the side for the coming year.

He will share the duties with fullback Ben Smith.

Dixon has been with the team since 2015 and is the captain of New Zealand Maori and Hawkes Bay.

The Highlanders first pre-season game is against the Crusaders on February 4.
