Another Homer is in line to win the Cromwell Cup today after his win in the Roxburgh Cup on Monday.

Another Homer is back to a grass track today after an all-weather surface at Roxburgh.

He has performed well on both surfaces.

He led over the last 1800m of 2700m at Roxburgh and won decisively.

His win followed good efforts on grass on the West Coast - a second to Cambo in the Reefton Cup and third in the Westport Cup.

Another Homer and stablemate Determined Lass remained at Roxburgh.

Their trainer Robbie Holmes picked them up yesterday after he had travelled from Leithfield Beach to Cromwell with Biella Star, Puerto Escondido, Secret Guest and First Art.

Holmes has a strong hand in his quest to win the $4500 trainers' bonus for the meetings at Omakau last Saturday, Roxburgh and Cromwell.

Biella Star ran third to Cullen's Creek and Pretty Dollybird in the Central Otago Cup last Saturday.

He is a rival for Another Homer today with Holmes the driver.

Peter Davis has retained the drive on Another Homer.

Secret Guest (race 10) has been placed in three of her four starts.

She ran second to Telemecanique in a race for fillies and mares at Ashburton on Boxing Day.

Telemecanique carried on to win the Equine Stakes at Winton.

Puerto Escondido finished a close third at Rangiora on Sunday.

First Art ran third at Motukarara on December 29.

Holmes shares the lead with Tim Butt and Phil Anderson on the points table for the trainers' prize.

Both have 11 points, one ahead of Tony Stratford.

The Butt-Anderson stable has Ronnie Coleman and Exposed to carry its hopes today.

Ronnie Coleman won a maiden trot impressively at Omakau.

Exposed tangled at the start and lost his chance at Roxburgh, after a fourth at Omakau.
