• Swift Therapy is the one to beat in the Te Awamutu Cup on grass today, The New Zealand Herald reports.
Swift Therapy has won 10 races at different levels. He beat Victoria Derby winner Courage To Rule at Alexandra Park a few months after winning an Australasian Breeders Crown heat. He has also won on grass at Hawera and New Plymouth.
Both his grass-track wins have been on rain-affected tracks.
He was third to high-class stablemate Statesman at Alexandra Park three starts ago.
"Providing he steps away safely he is going to be hard to beat," Tony Herlihy, his trainer-driver, said. Swift Therapy has won three of his six starts from a stand.
