Beachlands speedway is turning over a new leaf.
The speedway will have its opening meeting of the season tonight and hopes it is the dawn of a new era.
Club members have put in hundreds of hours of work over the winter to give the track and its facilities at Waldronville a new look.
Everything has been given a new lick of paint and a good clean and the track is in tip-top condition.
The first meeting tonight will also have more food vendors and there is now a family friendly zone at one end of the track.
There will be no smoking or drinking allowed in this area.
People are allowed to bring in food and drink to the venue.
The season will begin tonight with a full list of races including the rarely seen sidechair bikes in action.
