Otago will host Wellington in the final of the HRV Cup at the University Oval tomorrow.
The Volts secured a home venue for the final a week ago but had to wait for the outcome of last night's preliminary final between Wellington and Auckland to know who they would be playing.
Jesse Ryder gave Wellington a rapid start with 46 runs from just 17 deliveries and Michael Papps top-scored with 70 from 48 to help his side reach 182 for four.
That proved too many for the defending champion. Australian import Aaron Finch top-scored for Auckland with 44 from 30 and Reece Young made 29 from 24. But the Aces were restricted to 159 for eight.
