Two wins have put the St Kilda Saints in a prime position to contend for the Dunedin premier men’s title.
The unbeaten Saints continued their regular season dominance into the top four round robin in games on Thursday and Saturday.
They beat the Mid City Magic 98-76 on Thursday night, before forward Lawson Morris-Whyte dropped 44 points to help beat the City Rise Bombers 103-94.
That leaves them on two wins with one game remaining this Saturday, against the Magic Lions.
The Lions and Magic deferred their game on Saturday, and are set to play midweek.
A 100-64 win over the Bombers last Thursday has left the Lions, who were led by a 20-point effort from Patrick Freeman, in strong form.
In Saturday’s bottom three game, Matt Pyper had 42 points as the Andy Bay Falcons beat Varsity 131-77.
The final is scheduled for for August 27.
