There was a prize for best-dressed Bavarian, but organisers of the Splash Out Tuapeka Aquatic Centre fundraiser got caught up in the festive mood themselves, and forgot to award it.
Not that the estimated 140 who attended seemed to mind.
Spirits were lifted by music, provided by the Oompha band, and a charity auction offered things such as helicopter rides, drench and the opportunity to have the first nude swim in the pool.
Chairman of the Splash Out working party Paul Eason said Saturday's fundraiser brought in more than $10,000.
