It was all go on Queenstown's skifields during the weekend as winter weather boosted powder conditions.
NZSki's Coronet Peak welcomed more than 8500 visitors to the mountain over both days.
Queenstown local and Coronet regular Kirsty Tennent said yesterday was a stunning day with beautiful views across the Wakatipu basin.
"It was awesome; loads of snow and fabulous conditions.''
Big numbers of skiers resulted in long queues and she described the mountain as "chockablock.''
One visitor was Adrian Henry from Newcastle, Australia (pictured), who hit the slopes at the weekend.
He is spending a week in Queenstown on holiday and said he was "stoked'' to see so much snow.
Over on The Remarkables, also operated by NZSki, ski area manager Ross Lawrence said the mountain recorded 22cm of snow overnight on Saturday, on top of 57cm since last Tuesday.
Visibility was poor on Saturday but it cleared up yesterday afternoon.
Speaking to the Otago Daily Times before he jumped on his own skis, he said conditions were excellent.
"There's plenty of snow, good crowds and lots of happy skiers. We have a lot of powder hounds out there having a pretty good time.''
