Extra performances for several sell-out shows at the Festival of Colour have been scheduled because of high demand for tickets.
The Wanaka arts event will now feature additional performances for booked out shows which also have large waiting lists of prospective ticket buyers.
Festival of Colour director Philip Tremewan said their had been unprecedented demand for some of the shows and ticket wait lists had ballooned.
"We are blown away by the huge response to this year's programme," he said.
The extra performances include additional shows for Wellington playwright Dave Armstrong's Festival-commissioned satire Le Sud, children's theatre show Tale of a Dog, and musical group the Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra.
The Ukulele Orchestra's extra performance is already booked out, with a waiting list started.
Three additional screenings of Grahame Sydney's film, Dreaming of El Dorado have also been scheduled at Cinema Paradiso.
Remaining tickets to the additional shows will go on sale on Monday, March 9.
The Festival of Colour starts on April 28 and runs until May 4.
