Driving range from old woolshed

A $150,000 covered driving range is to be built at Millbrook Resort in Arrowtown.

The building would in part be built from materials from a nearby disused woolshed, which formerly belonged to Mt Soho Station, Millbrook golf director Brian Spicer said.

The new building would have six covered hitting bays, and would compliment existing open air practice areas, he said.

The Arrowtown Rugby Club will receive a $4000 donation for dismantling the old woolshed this weekend and transporting it to Millbrook.

The Gatehouse Driving Range was expected to open at Labour Day weekend, in October.
