Two Wanaka construction companies in voluntary liquidation have a combined total deficit estimated at $367,739.47, according to liquidators' reports filed with the Companies Office this week.
Iain Nellies and Gus Jenkins, of Insolvency Management Ltd in Dunedin, took over the administration of Advanced Construction Ltd and Speed Panel Building Systems Ltd on September 11.
The companies' directors and shareholders Chris and Lizzie Conroy, are believed to be in Australia on yachting business and could not be contacted.
The liquidators' reports state the companies ceased trading in January. Advanced Construction has assets of $18,500 and debts of $214,063.39 owed to 15 creditors while Speed Panels had assets of $26,800 and debts of $196,976.38 owed to 14 creditors.
The liquidators expect to complete their administration by March 31 next year.
Mr Conroy, a former top-level New Zealand sailor, was until recently the commodore of the Wanaka Yacht and Power Boat Club.
