A developer has applied for consent for a 81.49-ha subdivision of rural living allotments at Dalefield, near Arthur's Point.
The Platinum Estates subdivision, on the corner of Littles and Fitzpatrick Rds, would include 19 building allotments, three commonly owned spaces and an area to be put aside as a council recreation reserve.
The lots range from just under 6500sq m to 20.30ha and all include a 1000sq m residential building platform.
Included in the plans are a pedestrian and cycle link, control of gorse, and ecological enhancement through replanting pockets of native plants and realigning several tributaries which have been straightened into farm drains.
It is hoped by realigning and naturalising these tributaries, the regeneration of the native wetland environment which is included in the subdivision will be supported.
