Queenstown marketing executives Rachael Errington and Jo Weir are getting behind the Otago SPCA.
Tatler and Prime's marketing manager Jo Weir said Queenstowners did not usually get the opportunity to donate to the SPCA because the nearest branch was in Alexandra.
The SPCA is a national body which receives no government funding.
Ms Weir and Ms Errington helped raise funds at a national street appeal on November 13.
They are now organising an animal party and silent auction on December 4.
Ms Weir said the SPCA struggled with abandoned animals every year.
She was "thrilled" with the support from the Queenstown business community.
More than 20 activities, experiences, items and promises were up for auction, she said.
The party starts at 7pm at Tatler and features DJ Al and Remarkable Vet Geoff Woodhouse.
There is a prize for best animal-themed costume.
Admission is free although a gold-coin donation to the Otago SPCA would be appreciated.
