A 23-year-old Oamaru woman was arrested early on Saturday after a warrant for her arrest had been issued when she failed to appear in the Oamaru District Court on Wednesday.
Sergeant Tony Woodbridge said police located the woman about 4am on Saturday.
The woman resisted arrest and allegedly bit the police officer attempting to apprehend her, Sgt Woodbridge said.
She appeared in the Dunedin District Court on Saturday and was remanded in custody. The injured police officer required treatment at Oamaru Hospital.
