North Otago farmers Colin and Stefan Mavor are this year's Lincoln University Foundation Farmers of the Year.
The father and son team produce lambs and steers on 635ha, of which 350ha is leased, at Airedale, near Oamaru.
The Angus steers are kept over winter and supplied to Five Star in the spring, while lambs are bred on the farm or bought-in and finished.
The Mavors won $15,000 worth of travel.
Runners-up were Richard and Jane Maxwell, of Mt Catherine, near Cheviot.
