The two Alexandra scouts have gained the highest award in scouting, the Chief Scout award - a first since Barry O'Connor achieved the distinction in 1987.
And not only that, they are the first girls in Alexandra to make the grade.
Morgan joined the scouting organisation at an early age, beginning with Keas and working her way up through to Venturers.
Ashleigh started a little later, joining scouts as a cub in 2000 and she too is now a Venturer.
In order to gain their award the girls took part in many activities, from basic knot-tying through to community work and planning and taking part in outdoor camps.
Both agreed commitment was vital to achieve the award.
Group leader Martin O'Connor said it required real dedication and many other scouts had their sights set on the goal.
It was a real pleasure as group leader to see the girls presented with their award by the Governor-General Anand Satyanand at the national Scout Jamboree earlier this year, he said.
