Two of the show's organisers, Robert Wallace and Bill Bazley, say although the event is mainly a celebration of "beautiful" old cars, it is open to motorbikes, new cars and "anything shiny."
Mr Wallace said the show was a fundraising event for the Lawrence Lions Club, with money going to Educare (preschool).
"The main prize is the people's choice prize, but there will be a mystery judge at the show who will award different prizes for different catagories.
"There are 15 trophies in total."
There are a lot of classic cars in the Lawrence area already, and more coming in all the time, Mr Wallace said.
"I'd say there were about 50 classic cars just in Lawrence alone."
Falling into the "anything shiny" category is the Lawrence Vintage Machinery Club, which will be putting on a display.
The Lawrence Volunteer Fire Service will hold a demonstration at 2pm, when it will stage a mock car accident and show how it frees people trapped in cars.
There will be a car-boot sale, a merry-go-round for the children and a licensed bar operating for the adults.
