A teenager was due in court today after allegedly using a knife in an attempt to rob a Henderson pizza delivery worker.
The 19-year-old was due in the Waitakere District Court after an incident yesterday. Police said he assaulted the worker and attempted to use a knife before he tried to rob a second man.
The teenager allegedly took the man's car at knifepoint and during a police chase, it crashed on Bruce McLaren Road.
The teenager would also face charges of dangerous driving, failing to stop and ascertain injury, and driving whilst forbidden.
