Otago golf clubs have been urged to review their security following a spate of thefts from courses throughout the region.
In recent weeks firewood and a log splitter were taken from East Taieri, and a welder and tools were stolen during a burglary at Balclutha.
Fees boxes in Clydevale, Alexandra and Oamaru have also been targeted with cash taken.
Senior Sergeant Al Dickie today encouraged golf clubs to review their security measures, which should include sensor lights, cameras, alarms and locks.
Police ask that the public report any suspicious activity around golf courses immediately on 111.
