A tourist who tried to take 6kg of chocolate from a Wanaka supermarket without paying has received a pre-charge police warning.
Senior Sergeant Allan Grindell said the 22-year-old Korean woman was seen by New World staff putting 30 king-size bars of Cadbury chocolate, valued at $104.70, into her bag on Tuesday last week.
She was asked about it after she went to the checkout to pay for other items.
