Four teenagers have been referred to a youth justice family group conference following a vicious assault in Dunedin that was caught on video.
A 14-second clip showing drunken teenage girls kicking defenceless victims on Cargill St late last month was circulated widely on social media.
As a result of the police investigation two girls aged 15 and two aged 16 have been referred to a youth justice family group conference, where the matter will be dealt with as part of a formal legal process.
The youth justice family group conference will address the issue of allegations of serious assault offences.
