Burke, who was just one sale off her target, is aiming to double her sales this year and is already about a third of the way towards her goal.
She says her sales last year included some at Queenstown’s high-end Jack’s Point, where she sourced the buyer for the then-record $1.18 million sale of a section which her colleagues Gerard Bligh and Hadley van Schaik had listed.
She also sold a Jack’s Point house which was only 137.8 square metres, including the garage, for $1.82m — "everyone was, like, you’ll only get $1.5m".
Burke believes her new career’s been helped by the knowledge she gained about house construction during 10 years working for high-end home building companies.
