Up to 30 members meet once a week on Thursdays between at 9.30am and 2pm to talk, drink tea and work away at a craft that some might have thought was lost.
The patchworking women will meet at Postmasters restaurant to acknowledge the 25th anniversary and then move on for a proud display at 3pm in the museum.
The works range from smaller handbags and soft toys to giant colourful wall quilts, some of which will be available for sale.
Founding member and treasurer Jill Tremain said there are pieces that will appeal to everyone.
The group often gives away pieces to charities and last year donated more than a dozen polarfleece-lined quilts to Christchurch after the February 22 earthquake.
Vice-president Robyn Bitcheno said charity groups had given them a focus and had been a driving force for them to get more done.
The display starts tomorrow from 3pm with entry by gold-coin donation.
