A 20-year-old man has been charged with burglary after allegedly trying to sell musical equipment stolen from a North East Valley home at the weekend.
Senior Sergeant Craig Dinnissen, of Dunedin, said the victim plays in a band and all the band's gear was stored at his Watts Rd house.
"Several guitars, an amplifier, front-of-house monitors and other band items were stolen.
"Through some great work and information that was passed on, we were able to lock up a male trying to sell the items at Cash Converters in Dunedin yesterday afternoon.
"It was a good result.''
